Born 1967 in Switzerland. Architecture studies at ETH Zurich and TU in Graz; 1995–1997, Assistant Teacher, Department of Architecture ETH Zurich, in ‘Space Perception and Space Design with Video; from 1996, independent filmmaker with numerous film projects and presentations, e.g., in Lucerne (Gallery of Architecture), Zurich (MfG, gta-institute), Lausanne (Musée des Arts décoratifs), DAZ (Berlin), MoMa (NYC), etc.; 1997–1999, associate teacher with Prof. Dieter Kienast (†) ETH Zurich, 1999-2002 associate teacher with Prof. Christophe Girot, head of the video laboratory; 2003-2004, lecturer at ETH Zurich, Postgraduate Program in Landscape Architecture with Prof. Christophe Girot; since 2000, guest-Lecturer at universities in Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover) and Switzerland (ETHZ, HSLU); 2002–2004, partner at VUES, Studio for a Distinctive View of the City and Countryside. 2004, co-founder of schwarzpictures.com, Studio for Film Essays about Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Art.
